In 1974 the sole proprietorship was transformed into FRANZ OBERNDORFER KG and Helmut Oberndorfer took over the management of the company.

OBERNDORFER is the first company in Austria to apply modern extruder technology to the production of hollow prestressed concrete planks. With the first successful production of this product in extruder technology, OBERNDORFER pioneered on a European level.

In March 1992, the "VS-Hohldielen West Ges.m.b.H." was founded in Radfeld (Tyrol). Another production plant was built. In order to better reach the western part of Austria and, above all, the German and Swiss markets. This state-of-the-art plant also produces prestressed concrete hollow core planks, hollow core walls and the first prestressed precast floor slab "Eurodec".

With the plant in Großwilfersdorf (Styria), the OBERNDORFER presence in southern Austria was strengthened. Hollow wall elements, prestressed concrete hollow core slabs and precast floor slabs are produced on state-of-the-art multi-functional equipment. As a result, the delivery capacity at home and abroad could be increased considerably.

OBERNDORFER takes over the production facilities of Buhl. These were upgraded to the most modern standards and thus increase the high delivery readiness in the central regions of Vienna and Lower Austria. Today, the state-of-the-art precast plant produces precast floor slabs, precast walls, precast staircases and all kinds of special precast elements.

OBERNDORFER takes over the Readymix precast production and thus three plants in Carinthia and Lower Austria. With the integration of the plants in Völkermarkt, Villach and Wöllersdorf, a significant step was taken in terms of customer proximity.

Due to the steady expansion at record speed, the main office headquarters was established in Gunskirchen (Upper Austria) in 2007.

In 2011, the OBERNDORFER plant in Sisak (Croatia) was opened. On an area of approx. 50,000 m2, around 35 employees are employed. The main products produced in Croatia include: Box casings, reinforced concrete columns, reinforced concrete beams, prestressed hollow core slabs, precast floor slabs, wall systems as well as stair systems.

Merging of the Villach and Völkermarkt plants. An existing hall was demolished in the course of the expansion and replaced by a larger new building for the mesh welding plant. Furthermore, a central heating house was built in the course of the conversion in order to be able to operate the production more energy-efficiently.

In 2014 the takeover of the production of HACKER GITTERTRÄGER in Sattledt took place. Thereupon the OBW Precast Technology GmbH was founded, it is the subsidiary of the OBERNDORFER group of companies. OBW Precast Technology GmbH is specialized in the production of lattice girders.

Simone Oberndorfer takes over the management of the company in the fourth generation. The company starts into a new era with the new vision "Through innovation and digitality we make construction even easier and safer."

In 2022 the subsidiary OBERNDORFER Hybrid Systems GmbH was founded, which handles the development and distribution of sustainable hybrid slab systems.
